Helmet Artwork and Custom Airbrushing from Dave Humphrey (est. 1985)

I'm a self-employed graphic artist and have been airbrushing for over 20 years. I work from my home-studio in North Derbyshire on a variety of airbrushing projects. Experience: My grandfather was a signwriter/airbrush artist and I took up the craft back n 1981 writing a book on the history of airbrushing at University in 1983. I use Createx Auto Air paints imported from the USA. These go down well on both polycarbonate and fibreglass helmets. They are specially designed for the job and are acrylic so they wont affect the integrity of the shell.

The clearcoat I use is a tough acrylic lacquer to protect the artwork and give a high gloss finish.

My clients come from all over the UK and most of my work is via this web site. Regardless of location, you can expect a professional job at a very good price.

In addition to motorcycle helmets I paint other items including guitars, suitcases, motorcycle panels, tanks, guns, wheel trim covers and bike portraits (left).

Please be aware that because of the materials and the time involved, it can be quite expensive to have a helmet professionally resprayed. Typical prices start at £200. However, I am always happy to give you a quote and any advice free of charge.
